Background mode / Focus stealing prevention

I have very specific request to add a per-app setting to Windows Manger's Exclusion Rules to make windows of some app always run minimized, preventing focus stealing by running on lower layers (if there is such concept in Tangrid architecture), or staying hidden unless explicitly opened via the App Switcher.

This would be especially useful for apps that only run passive or automated tasks in the background (e.g. tsh auth session renewal in the browser). They still pop up as a floating window and steal focus, which is a minor but recurring distraction.

Hi, thanks for the detailed suggestion.

At the moment, Tangrid doesn’t have a “lower layer” concept for app windows, and this would be difficult to implement in practice.
When a window is created/shown, Tangrid cannot intercept or block that initial system-level behavior. Tangrid can only apply a secondary action after the system has already performed its window operation.

So in short, we currently can’t reliably prevent that initial popup/focus-steal at the moment.
