Shortcuts don't trigger with hyperkey

TLDR: Hyperkey not working in Shortcuts

Hi!
Are you aware of the tool hyperkey? Many people use it to map their (useless) Caps Lock to a hyperkey (eg. Cmd+Option+Ctrl) in order to create a new modifier key that enables shortcuts that dont conflict with existing ones from other applications or the system.

  • I figured that i can record shortcuts with hyperkey as expected
    (Caps+T -> Ctr+Options+Command+T) for toggling floating/tiling.

  • But the listener that works in the background does not capture Hyperkey+T

So i guess it works on a different level, before hyperkey can re-emit its fake events.

Would you be interested in solving this?

Edit:

I forgot to mention that the hyper key is recognized when used as "Drag Modifier Key".

Only in the general Hyperkey+Letter case it's not.

And pressing Caps+T actually toggles your windows float state?

Ok, i found the issue. When using the same key (caps->Ctrl+Options+Cmd) as Drag Modifier, it doesn't work anymore as shortcut base.

I also have this issue and for me it doesn't seem to be related to the drag modifier. I don't really use that feature and have it tied to the function key which is not used by hyperkey. I'm able to use the hyperkey to set the shortcut, and I think it worked for a day or two when I first set it up, but since then using caps will not work to trigger shortcuts.

I've tried it with shift both enabled and disabled in Hyperkey settings (and Tangrid shortcuts correspondingly updated) with no success

I also just tried using different keys (instead of caps) for Hyperkey with no success

And I confirmed that Hyperkey is working as expected for other shortcuts in different apps

Confirmed this issue exists. To reproduce: launch Hyperkey first, then Tangrid, and it stops working. Starting Tangrid first works fine. This is a Tangrid handling issue and will be fixed in the next release.
