Proximity tab no longer seems to work in 1.3.1-beta?

I have a script that would kill Tangrid, move windows to their desired positions on the monitor, then start Tangrid again.

Tangrid would realize when windows were on top of each other and tab group them.

But in the latest beta minor update (1.3.0 worked fine), it seems like it would always put it into one giant tab group per monitor and never split by proximity. Can you confirm this behavior?

I downgraded to stable for now and it is working again.

Based on recent bug reports, the logic for auto grouping tabs or splitting seems a bit off. I'm looking into what's going on.
