I was unconsciously trying to drop files from Finder opened in tabbed layout to another app, and realized that it's not working (as it works between Finder tabs). Do you think it's something that could be supported without much effort?
Drag-and-drop to tabbed window

Do you mean having two Finder windows in one tab group, and you want to drag a file from one Finder window to the other? Dragging a file onto a tab will switch the active window, so it should be supported.
I see now, there is a slight delay, but can it be adjusted?
