Window restoration issue after disconnecting external monitor

Y65NGOP

I'm using Tangrid v1.6.3. Normally, if I disconnect my external monitor when the screen is on, everything recovers fine. But when disconnecting the monitor while my laptop is closed or the screen is off, then wake it up again, the windows that were previously on the external monitor no longer seem to be recognized by Tangrid.

It only seems to happen when the monitor is disconnected while the MacBook is asleep or closed.

Could you share the logs?

Logs attached. Here's what I did: I placed two apps, ChatGPT and Calendar, in the external monitor. Then I locked my screen, disconnected the monitor, and reopened my laptop. The two apps appeared in my laptop's display but behaved like floating windows, and I had to toggle their tiling/floating state to turn them back to the tiling mode.

Thanks, but the log is too short. I need to see the log from before and after the MacBook was opened.

No problem. Here's a more complete log. I filtered out unrelated app events but I kept the full sequence around the sleep/wake and display recovery process. The relevant window IDs are 429 (ChatGPT) and 848 (Discord Web).

v1.6.4 has some code changes, not sure if it fixes the issue. If you still run into it, please reply in this thread.

The issue has been fixed in v1.6.4. Thank you!
